Matt Spiegel

Matt Spiegel, Esq.

CEO and Co-Founder
Matt leads the vision at Lawmatics. Prior to diving into the entrepreneurial world, he made his mark as a criminal defense attorney, experiencing firsthand the challenges that motivated him to launch MyCase. Matt leads the vision at Lawmatics. Prior to diving into the entrepreneurial world, he made his mark as a criminal defense attorney, experiencing firsthand the challenges that motivated him to launch MyCase. This cloud-based legal practice management solution skyrocketed to popularity. As CEO and GM of MyCase, Matt's leadership was instrumental in its success.

He then went on to found ExpoGuru, revolutionizing event marketing management software. Adding to his impressive repertoire, he served as the CEO of Cammy, a global consumer tech company based in Sydney, Australia.

In 2017, Matt recognized a pressing inefficiency in the legal industry: client intake. Fuelled by this realization, he joined forces with Roey Chasman to establish Lawmatics - an all-in-one platform empowering law firms with automated solutions to manage client relationships.

Roey is a seasoned full-stack software engineer, entrepreneur, and the driving force behind Lawmatics' development Armed with a computer science degree from the University of Arizona, his journey began at MyCase, where he crossed paths with Matt.

Since then, Roey has passionately built and scaled software companies alongside his partner. With expertise spanning full-stack development, software architecture, product design, management, administration, and even marketing, he's a true jack-of-all-trades.

When he's not busy hunting down the best local coffee shops to work from, you can find him honing his skills in the ancient Chinese game of Go or indulging in daydreams of revolutionizing the product experience.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys traveling and embarking on new adventures with her three children. She is an avid runner, skier, and yogi, and also appreciates indulging in spicy food, bold wines, and strong coffee.

Johnny leads the Support, Implementation, Engagement, and Product Training teams. With a Communication degree from San Diego State University in hand, Johnny spent a year in Spain teaching English to high school students. Upon his return to the US, Johnny landed his first customer success role at Cammy, which is where he and Matt first began working together. Johnny went on to manage a customer service team at another San Diego-based SaaS startup before joining Lawmatics as one of its first employees in January of 2019.

Since joining Lawmatics, Johnny has developed a passion for legal tech and is on a mission to eradicate inefficiencies from law firms worldwide. When he is not geeking out over automations, Johnny can be found spending time with his wife Hannah and dog Copper.

Bobby is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Arizona State University, where he earned a BS in Information Technology. Beyond work, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and two cats. He is also a passionate sneaker head and an avid cook who relishes preparing a wide variety of dishes.

Prior to Lawmatics, Joe honed his sales leadership skills at an employee and client experience software company. Joe was drawn to Lawmatics’ support for the legal industry — an area that has captivated his interest long before earning a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Endicott College.

As a diehard Boston sports fan, Joe’s memorabilia collection includes a plethora of Tom Brady rookie cards and memories from witnessing the Red Sox clinch the World Series at both Fenway Park and Dodger Stadium.

When she isn’t running around the office, Monique enjoys relaxing with her husband and two dogs. A born and raised San Diegan, she loves spending time with her friends and family, especially her nephew and two nieces.

Prior to Lawmatics, Zach led marketing efforts across legal tech, fintech, and SaaS companies, including AffiniPay, PayPal, Social Solutions, and SAP.

Outside of work, Zach enjoys spending time with his family at any restaurant or brewery with a playground. A native Austinite, he considers himself a thought leader in tacos and barbecue.
